About Alix Rowland
Alix Rowland has over thirty-five years of business and real estate experience. She also has thirty years of training in yoga, meditation and Asian philosophy. She is semi-retired from her real estate career, in which she was a founding member of Team North Star, a real estate team consisting of four brokers within the Wells Group Real Estate Brokerage in Durango, Colorado.
In 2023, she founded the Meditation Studies Initiative (MSI) with two partners in Germany. MSI is a business-to-business meditation training company. Combining her expertise in business and Asian wisdom is her passion.
Alix Rowland began her journey to the Asian classic texts through the door of yoga in 1994. Initially, yoga was a way to maintain health and balance as a new mother, but it captured her heart and propelled her on a journey that continues today. She became certified to teach yoga through the Santa Barbara Yoga Center in 2002.
Her search for authentic meditation techniques led to Geshe Michael Roach's Lam Rim teachings in Arizona in 2013 and subsequently to the 18 Asian Classics Institute foundation courses, which she studied intensely with her close teacher, three-year Diamond Mountain-retreatant, Sarahni Stumpf.
Alix has completed all fifteen levels of the Diamond Cutter Institute Global teacher training at the Sedona College of International Management, where she is currently an assistant professor. Alix is the founder of Seeds of True Success, a training company that uses the seed system to achieve success in all areas of life. Her teaching style emphasizes how we can apply what we learn to create a better life for ourselves and others. Her new book by the same name focuses on using business partners and teams to achieve your dreams.
She is currently using the Seed System method to create dynamic teams that do more business while helping team members and clients reach their goals. Alix has taught the seed system and yoga at international events in Thailand and Indonesia.
She is passionate about making the world better for all who live here. To that end, she is the Executive Director of SkyHarvest, a non-profit dedicated to ecological restoration in Cochise County, Arizona. Twenty percent of the profits from her book go to SkyHarvest, Asian Classics Institute, Asian Legacy Library as well as other non-profits.
Alix lives in Durango, Colorado with her partner Ben Gibson, two dogs, two horses, and the cat, Earle the Gray.
